C19th French silver & gilt oval mirror

This C19th French oval mirror is of exceptional quality and in great condition - the original gilt finish is set off by a silver rim which is very unusual and a difficult & expensive process. The crispness of the moulded detail around the outside is another sign of quality as is the bevelling on the original plate. There are small signs of foxing on the glass which is usual in a piece of this age. The bow crest is generous and well done.
