Painted C19th French mirror

This mirror is a lovely combination of simplicity and decoration - the understated shape of the frame is a slightly different version of the ever-popular Louis Philippe style, this time with a central arching shape but the decoration comes from the ornate and well executed detail which is picked out gently with the tonal variations of the white and grey. The plate is original and in good condition - some very small areas of gentle fogging which is expected in a mirror this age but nothing that is detrimental.
