C19th French butter mould

A really pretty antique French butter mould, carved from beech with a flower in lovely condition. This would have been made in the mid 1800's and used to make decorative pats - there's a round knob-handle on the back carved into the mould. An attractive piece of antique kitchenalia, perfect for display.

There are a couple of historic woodworm holes which are no longer active but have been treated as a precaution.
