1922 Charity Collection Can

£40.00

In stock

At first we thought this was just a rather sweet little moneybox by Morgan & Son but when we opened it we found some lovely provenance. A hand written note explains that this can was used in 1922 to collect donations for the Hospitals of London appeal and there is still a part of the original label preserved inside. Whilst it would still make a super moneybox, it’s also just a little more special now! Stamped ‘East Hill’ and ’39’ on the front with a gorgeous brass hinge and handle.
