A very nicely executed oil on card showing moored wooden boats in a country setting. Clearly a plein air painting, this captures the light and the feeling of outdoors beautifully and the colours used are absolutely striking. Signed R De Groote, this may be a French artist who worked between the 1930's -1950's and who's work often comes up on the French market, It's very well done and balances a traditional theme with a rather timeless charm.
