Lifesize bust of a man

This lifesize artist's rendering of a male bust has wonderful impact - it's so textural and very nicely modelled with a thoughtful, almost questioning expression. Created using different tones of clay there's a mix of white and grey which creates more depth and dimension. Signed on the back with initials. It was sourced in northern France but is rather difficult to determine age?
