Art Deco Brass State Express box

A very stylish 1940's brass box, produced by the cigarette company 'State Express' probably for playing cards. Bound in brass with a nicely engine-turned decoration so very typical of the Art Deco style, this would make a great storage box for jewellery, cufflinks or even for a couple of packs of playing cards again!
